At Arise Health Training Institute (AHTI), we are committed to provide you a Comprehensive Nursing assistant program that will ensure you are fully prepared and competent to provide quality health care , that will be consistent and within the scope of practice of a certified nursing assistant.

Nurse Aide II Program

Course Duration

6 weeks

Classes

Classroom and Labs (4 weeks): Monday through Friday from 5pm to 10pm
Clinicals (2 weeks): Day shift at acute care hospital.

Arise Health Training Institute (AHTI), offers a 194-hour Nursing Assistant II program. This program is governed by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.  AHTI will teach and adhere to the nursing skills in accordance with the NCBON (North Carolina Board of Nursing). Upon Successful completion of the course, which includes a classroom/ lab, and clinical component, the student is thereby eligible to apply for listing as a Nurse Aide II by the NCBON and will be considered certified and competent to practice as a CNA II.

The course fee, non refundable registration Fee , Criminal Background check, Identification badge, Course Material, Liability insurance, lab supplies and listing on registry.

Eligibility for prospective students:

Must have a current listing on the N.C. NA I registry ( and in good standing)

Must be 18 years of age

Must have proof of a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

 

Prospective students must PASS a background check prior to the start of course. A criminal record does not necessarily disqualify you from the Nurse Aide II program but may interfere with clinical experience placement and future job opportunities. 

AHTI will work with students who have a criminal record on a case by case basis.

 

Prospective students are required to have a negative 2-step TB skin test within the last 6 months or provide a negative chest x-ray.

 

Prospective students must be physically able to perform the duties of the Nursing Assistant. These duties include and are not limited to: Lifting, moving and transporting of patients. 

Nurse Aide II Program

If you wish to start the Nurse Aide II program, we must receive the application together with the application fee ($80 NON-REFUNDABLE), by the last date of Class Registration. You cannot start the program until you have been admitted as a student, so it is important that you adhere to this timescale.

Enrollment Periods: Enrollment occurs on an ongoing basis, but notice is needed at least two weeks prior to a course’s start date.
